After the Chita stage (find out the article here) and one of the longest train transfers, here I am in Belogorsk (Белого́рск).

Really less interesting?

In this stage, the (perhaps) least interesting part of my Trans-Siberian continues. Or rather, I thought she was less interested but, both here and in the previous Belogorsk stop, in any case, I managed to find something to see (and photograph!).

To save money you have to walk :)

Compared to the other stops on my Trans-Siberian, in this one in Belogorsk, the walk to reach the city center was more intense. Why? The answer is simple: I haven’t found a hostel. Let me explain: when I organized the trip and booked the accommodations, I did not find any existing hostels in this city and therefore I had to book a hotel. And the cheaper hotels were located on the outskirts, not in the city center.
On the other hand, in Belogorsk there were not many attractions to look for so I only had to do the long walk once (excluding the journey to / from the station with luggage in tow).

After arriving in the city center, the first point of interest I decided to reach was Ploshchad ’30 Letiya Pobedy (площадь 30летия Победы). There, in addition to the fountain (Фонтан), I moved a few steps to see the memorial area and Pamyatnik Vezhlivym Lyudyam (Памятник Вежливым людям). Continuing the walk forward I found a monument dedicated to Lenin (Памятник В. И. Ленину) and, around the corner, an Orthodox church (or at least something similar).

Later I moved to the city river, named Tom’. Obviously, a river quote could not be missing even in this stage :D
