The final stop of the cruise along the Norwegian fjords was Bergen.

Sometimes they come back

Needless to say, as with other previous stages of the trip, I had already been to Bergen. But here is a small difference: what is it all about? The answer is simple: it was not the first time I had set foot here but, in this case, both in summer and in winter. In fact, in the summer I had been there several times (seasons with Costa Luminosa and Costa Fortuna, stop with Costa Pacifica) but also in winter. And just in winter it was the first time I ever went there. It was during my first solo trip and, on reflection, it was also the first city (in Norway) ever that I have seen in my life.

Unmissable stops in Bergen

I would have stopped one night, and then, to leave with the long journey back to Italy. Although it was the end of January, I couldn’t miss two fundamental stops in these parts: the fish market and the Bryggen.

Fish market of Bergen

Bergen is world famous for its fish market.

Of this well-known attraction we mean, above all, the summer version with countless stalls where you can buy and eat there countless varieties of fish foods. In winter, the market (Fisketorget i Bergen), in very small form, moves indoors in the building where the tourist information office (Turistinformasjonen i Bergen) is also located.

Bryggen instead remains in the same place :D

A walk in the Hanseatic quarter of the city and a souvenir photo are a must. Also because it happened to me (and I think not only did it happen to me) that when you talk to people about travel and ask if they know Bergen or Bryggen they look at you with an alienated face but then, when you say the place where there are the colored houses one next to each other, then they understand. Even better when you say that they are the colored houses that occasionally appear in computer screensavers :D

Train & bus direction Hamburg

The next day, just before noon, the train that would take me to Oslo.
