After two nights in Desenzano del Garda, I moved to discover Brescia.

To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.

How to reach Brescia?

From Desenzano there is both the bus option and the train option. As already described in the transfer between Verona and Peschiera, the train is certainly the fastest option.

Historic Center and Piazza della Loggia

I started my walk around the city from the historic center of Brescia and, therefore, from Piazza della Loggia where I stopped to photograph/film both the Palazzo della Loggia

and the Clock Tower.

It took some time because the square was quite busy and therefore it was difficult to get the best shots of the monuments.

Piazza Paolo VI

Then, continuing through the city streets, I found myself in Piazza Paolo VI where the Old Cathedral and the imposing Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta reign supreme.

Next to the latter it is possible to admire the Palazzo del Broletto and the Torre del Pegol as you could also see in the previous video.

Brescia Castle

From there, despite the day (like hours of light) was coming to an end, I decided to walk towards the Castle of Brescia.

In the long climb I was able to admire glimpses of this fortress. In addition, I had the opportunity to see characteristic objects of these environments such as the Cannon from the Fortress, the Torre dei Francesi and the drawbridge.
I must say that the time was perfect because I had the opportunity to see both the city from above and the castle with various shades of color.

Returning to the historic center of the city, given the time, I had to stop again for some shots but this time at night :)

A curiosity: right there I discovered the logo of Brescia & Bergamo Italian Capital of Culture 2023. I had heard about it but it was the first time I saw the symbol of the event.

The journey continues…

The following day I continued my journey towards Sarnico, on the shores of Lake Iseo.
