How to reach Carloforte?
After the previous stops in Cagliari (find out the article here) and its Poetto beach (find out the article here), I undertook the part of the journey by bus to reach the southern part of Sardinia, more precisely, Sant’Antioco (find out the article here) where the ferry was waiting for me towards Carloforte (find out the article here).
First steps on the island
Having landed on the island, you immediately find yourself immersed in the daily life of the city centre. Leaving the Monument to Carlo Emanuele III behind me, I continued towards Piazza della Repubblica to reach the Parish Church of San Carlo Borromeo.
At that point, I headed towards the War Memorial, another meeting place for the locals.

Another interesting aspect of walking in this city is zigzagging through the alleys and stairways
with incredible views that can be found by following the walls.

During the days of my stay in this place, I had the opportunity to see and follow the itineraries of both the salt pans and those to reach the beaches on the island of San Pietro.
