After the 3 nights and 2 days in Ulan-Udė (find out the article here) with a visit to the Datsan Rinpoche Bagsha (find out the article here), the next stop on my Trans-Siberian was Chita (Чита).

To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.

Really less interesting?

With this stage, the (perhaps) least interesting part of my Trans-Siberian has begun. Or rather, I thought it was less interested but, both here and in the next Belogorsk stop, in any case, I managed to find something to see (and photograph!).

Chita: land of decisions

Among the various aspects for which this city is known, one of the most important is connected to neighboring China. In fact, many travelers deviate by continuing their experience with that itinerary. In that case we speak of the Trans-Manchurian, not to be confused with the Trans-Siberian or the Trans-Mongolian.

Orthodox church, Lenin square and surroundings

After leaving my luggage in the accommodation, I set off without wasting time. The first point of interest to see/photograph/film was the Orthodox church Kafedral’nyy Sobor Kazanskoy Ikony Bozhiyey Materi (Кафедральный собор Казанской иконы Божией Матери).

Afterward, I headed to Lenin Square (Площадь Ленина). Here too I remember a lot of people walking and it was not so easy to use the reflex to the fullest :D

The “usual” river and a picturesque building

Later I moved to the city river. Obviously, also in this stage could not be missing :D
Returning to the accommodation, I was struck by a “picturesque” building which I had not noticed when I went to Lenin square. I found out that it was a post office/bank (Почта Банк) :D
It was time to go to rest and prepare for the next leg of my Trans-Siberian: Belogorsk (find out the article here).
