Back in Milan where I would have the base for the next three nights, the following day I decided to do a mini tour de force visiting Crema (find out the article here), Lodi (find out the article here), Codogno and Piacenza in one day :D

How to reach Codogno?

From Lodi, its provincial capital, a few minutes by train and I reached my destination. In this case there would also have been the bus but the other option suited me.

Old Town

Having little time available, I accelerated the pace to reach the historic center of this town as quickly as possible.
Among the semi-deserted alleys (it was Saturday!) I reached the Parish Church of San Biagio and the Beata Vergine Immacolata.

I remember that I wanted to have a photo taken in this location but there was no person to ask and for this reason I only immortalized the church. At least I didn’t spoil the photo :D

Codogno: symbol of resistance and rebirth

Just as in the Bergamo article I dedicated a paragraph to the motto “Berghem mola mia”, here too I wanted to dedicate two lines to this city, symbol of resistance (first) and rebirth (later) of this period.
Even for a few minutes, I wanted to make a stop in this town as well. Codogno is counted among the classic villages that are unknown to many before, then, for some event, they become known throughout the country (in this case, I would say, even in the world).

And who knows, after all this period it will not become a new tourist destination. It may be that many also follow what I did during this trip to Lombardy and include it as a stop in their wanderings.
