How to reach Filicudi?
After the previous stop in Alicudi (find out the article here), I reached this destination by hydrofoil. Let’s say that the options on how to reach this Aeolian island were not that many 😛
First moments on the island
Even on this island there is no shortage of uphill walking sections 😃
Having landed in the Pecorini a Mare beach area (they were doing work in the main port), I found a lift to go to the accommodation 🙂
Filicudi Island Nature Reserve
The next day I climbed up to Monte Benefizio and Monte Fossa delle Felci inside the Filicudi Island Nature Reserve. Just when I was up there in the middle of the paths I caught this shot of the island from above.
And it’s precisely when you are up there and you see a ship docking at the port hoping it’s not yours otherwise it’s a bit far away 😃
Going down…
On the way back, downhill, I took another direction with the Path to Siccagni and reached the area of the Church of Santo Stefano.
