Giardini Naxos
- Greece or not Greece? This is the dilemma…
- Giardini (Naxos) o beach?
- Peace of mind: real or apparent?
- Extra (not to be missed!)
I left by train from Catania, on this first day of new knowledges, I arrived in Giardini Naxos. On the same day, I also managed to see Taormina (find out the article here) and Acireale (find out the article here). I have always heard of this place (associated with Taormina) from those who have made holidays and/or trips to Eastern Sicily. So, I thought I couldn’t/should forget it on the list of places to see (and photograph).
To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.
Greece or not Greece? This is the dilemma…
To tell the truth, but I think it has happened to others too, when I was not that interested/passionate about travel yet, I always thought Giardini Naxos was in Greece (current) :)
In reality the connection with Greece is evident but, on reflection, it could only be in Italy given the word Giardini. Otherwise the first word would also have been in Greek :D
Giardini (Naxos) or beach?
Well known as a seaside resort in Eastern Sicily, the first thing that came to mind could be posted on social media (as an Italian pun), was this photo
with caption “I was looking for the gardens (Giardini) and I found the beach”.
Peace of mind: real or apparent?
From the train stop, I took a walk down to the pier to get a greater variety of photo shots and, for those who have seen the previous video, I think it was worth it.
Being a day of the coldest months of the year (from the calendar), I didn’t find/crossed many people and there was a great sense of tranquility. I think that in the summer a few voices/screams /calls that can be heard even from a great distance cannot be missing :D
Extra (not to be missed!) of Giardini Naxos
After this brief overview of the stop in Giardini Naxos, aren’t you curious to go beyond simple images to better understand the travel experience? No problem, here is a preview of the places mentioned above.
