Killarney: ninth stop of the journey towards Manchester, Scotland and Ireland (Northern and Eire)

An hour and a half by bus and I arrived in Killarney. The bus stop was in the city center so I didn’t waste much time getting to the hostel. There and then, and even in retrospect, I can say that that hostel is one of the best I’ve ever found during my travels. As soon as I arrived, I just took a little tour downtown to see where the excursions for the following two days would start from.

City center and National Park
More than the center, the main attraction of the city, in my opinion, remains the National Park. I remember that, thanks also to the wonderful day from the atmospheric point of view, I traveled a part until reaching Ross Castle.
And from there, I had two options: go back to the center (or accommodation) and wait for the train departure time to arrive (I took this walk the day after the two excursions) or find something else to see.
Around the city
Obviously the choice fell on the second option and after a very long walk (about 10km) I arrived at the Torc waterfalls.
I wrote a very long walk not because of the distance, which you can easily cover, but because I was tight with the times and it is the classic situation that you never see the end :D
Also, on the way back, I also made up my mind to go take pictures in the Muckross House area, taking a lot of risk.
Moral of the story? With a big acceleration I managed to reach the hostel to retrieve my luggage and immediately head towards the station, located not exactly in the center-center. Luckily everything went well and I didn’t miss the train :)
Excursions from Killarney: Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula, Cape Slea & Inch Beach
In addition to the inevitable walk inside the National Park (of Killarney), in the two days following the arrival (i.e. the days before the walk in the park), I participated in two excursions: Ring of Kerry
and, the following day, the Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head & Inch Beach.
