How to reach Lipari?
After the previous stop in Salina (find out the article here), I reached this destination by hydrofoil.
Let’s say that the options on how to reach this Aeolian island were not that many 😛
First steps on the island
After landing on the island, the first steps were in the direction of Marina di Porto Pignataro. After going through the tunnel, I arrived at Canneto Beach and from the following photo you can see how high the waves were 😃
Lipari through beaches, pumice and panoramic points
The day, from a meteorological point of view, was improving and I was continuing the walk towards the Punta Castagna pumice quarries and then continuing to the Acquacalda beach area. Here a shot taken in the area of the Lami panoramic point.
On the way back to the city center, I also managed to catch Canneto beach from above. Can you see how different shades of blue the sea was that day? 🙂
Lipari Castle
In the evening I decided to take a walk in the Castle area and take the inevitable night shot!
I found myself surrounded by a lot of churches: Church of the Addolorata, Church of the Immaculate Conception, Church of the Madonna delle Grazie, Church of Santa Caterina and, finally, the Concathedral Basilica of San Bartolomeo.
