How to reach Livorno?

After the previous stops in Sardinia in Bosa (find out the article here), Bosa Marina (find out the article here), Alghero (find out the article here) and Olbia (find out the article here) I took the ferry towards Livorno (find out the article here) to reach the next location of the trip.

First steps in the city

Starting from the Quattro Mori monument, leaving behind the Fortezza Vecchia and the Bastione dell’Ampolletta in the Darsena Vecchia area, I headed towards the Grand Ducal Palace before crossing the San Giovanni Nepomuceno bridge and thus reaching the Church of Santa Caterina (in the area Venice).

Continuing the walk in the area of the New Fortress I reached Piazza della Repubblica with the Leopold II Monument and the Ferdinand III Monument and, then, Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi with the dedicated monument. An inevitable shot of the Cisternone on the road that took me to the central train station.
