In this article I’ll tell you about the stop at the main observation platform in Meteora (Κύρια Εξέδρα Παρατήρησης Μετεώρων) during the journey to discover Greece and Turkey both with and without a cruise.

How to reach the Meteora Monasteries?

After exploring the island of Aegina (Αίγινα) (find out the article here) and returning by ferry to Piraeus to take the train “From Athens to Kalambaka with Hellenic Train” (find out the article here), I reached Kalambaka (Καλαμπάκα) (find out the article here), nearest support city for visiting the Meteora area (Μετέωρα) (find out the article here).

Heading towards the main observation platform in Meteora

After leaving the city of Kalambaka (Καλαμπάκα) and passing the town of Kastraki (Καστράκι), the walk continues on the main road which allows you to reach most of the monasteries in the area. Or, at least, it allows you to see them from a distance but in a better way through the platform 😛
