Walking around Mariehamn

After tackling the “Sailing from Stockholm to Åland Islands” (find out the article here), I finally arrived in this Finnish archipelago 🙂

I landed in its capital, that is Mariehamn. Having crossed the Esplanaden park, I arrived in the most central part of the town in the church area where I was able to cross on my right, first, the town hall (Mariehamns stadshus) and its park, then, the historical-cultural museum of these islands (Ålands kulturhistoriska museum).

From there, I walked towards the Lilla holmen beach area where I was also able to photograph the Bart Eysink Smeets stone as well as the view in front of me 🙂
