The sixth stop on the journey of “15 Places in 5 days” was Modena.

How to reach Modena?

I reached this destination directly by train from the previous day leg, that is Reggio Emilia.

To say, first of all, that compared to the previous day stages, the station is further away from the places of interest, so, I had to walk a little more, but no problem :)
Leaving the station, I took the street of the Tobacco Factory. The red brick building on my right reminded me of the industrial area I was able to discover in Manchester (read the article here).

Continuing the straight I found the Church of the Madonna del Voto on my right and, after crossing the street, after a few steps, I finally arrived in Piazza Duomo and Piazza Grande. I remember it was Carnival period (precisely Shrove Thursday, if I remember correctly) and in the square there were both stalls for the occasion and children dressed up. You could also see it in the shots of the previous video as the celebrations intersected with the monuments in trying to steal some shots of the Cathedral of Modena,

the Acetaia Comunale, the Town Hall and the Statue of the Bonissima.

Always wandering through the city streets, at a certain point, I decided to reach the Palazzo Ducale in Modena where I stopped for a few minutes in the hope of getting noteworthy shots of my surroundings.

Having to go back to the station, I decided to take a slightly wider trajectory so that I could cross (and not forget) the Parco Giardino Ducale Estense and its scenographic Palazzina dei Giardini.
