Kotor and surroundings

In this country in the Balkan area, the place I know best is Kotor. With its mouths, it is the only fjord in the Mediterranean and there, in addition to the small town, I also had the chance to discover nearby Perast. On another excursion, however, I managed to reach Budva where I was also able to admire the walled part of this seaside resort.

How did I get to Montenegro?

I had this incredible opportunity while on board the Costa neoClassica during the last cruise of the season heading to Venice. After a season on the Greek islands (Corfu, Piraeus, Mykonos, Santorini), that cruise included a charter with a stop also in Kotor. Subsequently also with Costa neoRiviera during the month in the Adriatic before the crossing for the season between India, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

Will I ever go to this place?

I have always liked geography and, therefore, I had already heard about this place and where it is located. But it’s one of those places that you think, “Will I ever go to this place?” And the answer is “Yes” :)
