Moving to Valtellina, in Tirano, where I would have my base for the following nights, I decided to go to the discovery of Morbegno, Sondrio, Chiavenna, Livigno and Bormio.

How to reach Morbegno?
I reached this first daily destination by train directly from Sondrio. It goes without saying that it is always possible to reach it by train also coming from the other side, for example, from Milan or Lecco with the train of the route that goes to Tirano and which I used to “get on”.
Morbegno historic center
When I left the train station, I walked along the provincial road 7 in front of me and which would take me to the historic center. Among the alleys of the village, I came in front of the Church of San Giovanni Battista.
Continuing through the small town streets, I found myself in the area of the Bitto stream.
Morbegno temple
Right there, given the beautiful atmospheric day, I decided to reach the Tempietto (Morbegno Temple) to have a view of the area from above. So, after passing Palazzo Malacrida, I turned right
and started the climb in the middle of nature. Slowly I got up but it was worth it as you can see from this shot :)
Ganda bridge
To return to the station I decided to take the paved road so as to have a more complete idea of how to reach that area of the town.
Had I had more time (the train certainly wasn’t waiting for me!) I would have also gone to see the Ganda Bridge but it was completely on the other side of where I was at that moment.
