In this article I’ll tell you about the stop in Mykonos during the cruise that allowed me to discover Greece and Turkey.

How to reach Mykonos?

The same day in which I returned to Venice from the Czech Republic in the morning, in the evening I took the flight to reach the island of Crete. I was in Plzeň (find out the article here) to see “Viktoria Plzeň-Inter match: full result in the Czech away match!” (find out the article here) and before reaching the airport I also took a trip to the center of Prague by night (find out the article here) to get some souvenir shots of the Czech capital at night. So, I reached Heraklion (Heraklion) from Venice but it’s as if I reached it from Prague 😛
There I boarded Costa Venezia in Heraklion (find out the article here) to start the cruise in which this destination was also included in the itinerary.

Around the island of Mykonos and its city center

During the ship’s stop in Tourlos, the new port of Mykonos, I had the opportunity to participate in a daily excursion which allowed me, in the morning, to sunbathe on Paradise Beach and then visit and participate in a tasting in the village of Ano Mera (Άνω Μέρα) and then conclude everything in the city center among the alleys until you reach Little Venice.

Here I was able to see (and capture with shots) the very famous Windmills (Ανεμόμυλοι Μυκόνου) again before returning to the old port area after having crossed the Panagia Paraportiani church (Παναγία Παραπορτιανή) and reached the Orthodox church of Saint Nikolaos of Kadena (Ιερός Ναός Αγίου Νικολάου της Καδένας).
