In this article I will talk about the trip to North Macedonia. History, culture and traditions in a mix of modern and rural landscapes: some memories of my experience in this land.

Skopje
Arrived in Skopje, I headed to the hostel and given the late hour, I decided to rest so as to be perky the next day. The next morning, I took a tour of the city center and its surroundings (check out the article here) to capture some meaningful shots and it was lucky.
Why a fortune? The answer is simple: when I returned here, at the end of the trip, I found bad weather with rain. I remember that I was barely able to do small takes before the flood.
From Skopje to Ohrid by bus
That same afternoon, I took the bus towards Ohrid and also found snow on the way.

Once in Ohrid, as always, I went to store my luggage in the accommodation and, despite the fact that dusk was coming, I decided to take a walk near the center and capture some shots at night (find out the article here) .

From Ohrid to Bitola by bus
As before, I used the bus to travel from Ohrid to Bitola. Here too I had the opportunity to see the rural landscapes around me.
Bitola
Once in Bitola (find out the article here), in addition to the city, I also went to visit the archaeological site of Heraclea Lyncestis (find out the article here).
Prilep
In Prilep (find out the article here), I decided to go and see the Marko’s Towers (Markovi Kuli) with a trek that allowed me to reach the top and see the city from above. (find out the article here)
Kruševo: the highest city in North Macedonia
During the stop in Prilep, during the day I went to Kruševo, considered the highest city in the country. (find out the article here)
Veles
After Kruševo, in the afternoon of the same day, I reached Veles. In the short time available I decided to go and see Lake Mladost, located nearby in the city. (find out the article here)
Skopje (again)
I returned to Skopje, the last leg of the journey. Here, as I said before, despite the adverse weather, I was able to shoot. (find out the article here)
Tetovo: capital of the Albanian minority in North Macedonia
During the last stop in Skopje, I decided to reach Tetovo by bus. Considered the capital of the Albanian minority in North Macedonia, I walked through the local market and reached the mosque. (find out the article here)
Kumanovo
After Tetovo, on the other full day available in Skopje, I went to Kumanovo. I wanted to see/photograph as many places as possible and so I also added this destination. (find out the article here)
