How to reach Pavia?

From Milan Lambrate I took the regional train and arrived at my destination. The train was direct and without the need to change at any station.

First steps in Pavia

Leaving the train station behind me, the first monument I encountered on the way to the center was the Statue of Minerva.

Continuing the walk, after having passed the Court, I turned left to reach the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine.

Piazza della Vittoria

Small break not only for photography and shooting in the direction of Piazza della Vittoria where I was able to admire the Palazzo del Broletto.

Piazza del Duomo

Continuing on the left, through the alleys, I reached Piazza del Duomo where, in addition to the Duomo itself,

I was able to immortalize the remains of the Civic Tower, the Statue of Regisole and the Bishop’s Palace.

Covered Bridge in Pavia

The walk continues towards one of the places that for me was of greatest interest to photograph/film: the Covered Bridge.

Again, I feel lucky for the atmospheric day which brought good visual content.

Getting away from the center: was it worth it?

I kept moving away from the center because I went to the Church of Santa Maria in Betlem, located a little further away from the main tourist attractions.

Outside the city: the Certosa di Pavia

I reached the station to take the train that in a few minutes would take me to see one of the most popular and sought-after places by those who come here: the Certosa di Pavia.

The journey continues…

After this stop in Milan (in addition to that of Brescia) and in which I was able to see most of southern Lombardy, the time has come to move to the Lake Maggiore area and, more precisely, to Ispra where, as a first stop, I discovered Maccagno (find out the article here).
