In this article I’ll tell you about the stop in Pisa during the journey to discover Sicily, Sardinia and Tuscany.

How to reach Pisa?
After the previous stops in Livorno (find out the article here) and Lucca (find out the article here) I took the train to reach the next Tuscan location of the trip.
First steps in the city
Leaving the city train station behind, I reached the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II located in the square of the same name. Continuing along Corso Italia I encountered the Logge dei Banchi and Palazzo Gambacorti before crossing the Arno river thanks to the Ponte di Mezzo.
A “Normale” day
Walking through the city alleys I reached Piazza dei Cavalieri where I stopped for some time to take several shots of the monuments and places of interest present: the Church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri, Palazzo della Carovana (home of the Scuola Normale Superiore , the famous “Normale di Pisa”) and Palazzo dell’Orologio (Torre della Muda or della Fame)

At that point I headed towards Piazza del Duomo.
I had already been here to visit the tower while working on board but, in this situation, I was able to take a different shot from the ones I already had. What is it about? The answer is simple: a shot of the Tower of Pisa at sunset 🙂
