Reggio Calabria
After the Messina stop and taking the ferry to cross the Strait, on this third day of new knowledges, I reached Reggio Calabria. Many times I have heard of this Italian region (Calabria), a very popular holiday destination for both Italian and foreign tourists/vacationers. And what’s so strange? The strange thing is that, before getting off the ferry and setting foot on the ground, I had never been to Calabria before. Like Messina (find out the article here), I’ve always seen it glimpsed from the sea.

Lungomare Falcomatà
Arrived at the port of Reggio Calabria, I headed, on foot, towards the Falcomatà seafront. I remember it was also starting to drizzle. No problem, real travelers adapt to unexpected events that arise and continue in order not to miss the opportunity to see (and, very often, capture!) unknown corners even to the locals. The important aspect to point out is that the unstable weather did not bring many people to walk so I was able to take the opportunity to take photos and videos without hindrance. (If you’ve seen the previous video, you can very well understand what he’s talking about!).
Municipality, Cathedral and Castle of Reggio Calabria
A particular shot that I remember of this stop was captured in front of the municipality. Although the sky was getting darker, I am happy that the moment captured has come (clearly) visible.
Later, I continued the walk towards the Cathedral Basilica of Maria Santissima Assunta in Cielo and, subsequently, I reached the area of the Aragonese Castle and, from there, the city center.
