I dedicate this article to Rijeka 2020. Chosen as European Capital of Culture for that year together with the Irish city of Galway (find out the article here).

When did I discover Rijeka 2020?

Compared to the applications from other capitals that I discovered while traveling or once back home, this time, I went there on purpose because I knew it had been chosen and I wanted to see how it was prepared for the event :)

How to reach Rijeka?

In my case, I comfortably reached Rijeka (find out the article here) by bus. Obviously there is also the possibility with other means such as the car.

European Capitals of Culture

The previous year I had the opportunity to go and discover the other city chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2020, namely Galway, in Ireland (find out the article here).
During the trip to Lapland, during the experience in Estonia, I had the opportunity to see the city of Tartu (find out the article here) which will be the capital in 2024 and, in Finland, that of Oulu (find out the article here) which will be in 2026.
