Traveling to Rijeka

In this article I will talk about the short trip to Rijeka, Croatia. One of my trips of a few hours. Why a few hours? The answer is simple: departure (at dawn!) by bus from Venice area and arrival in Rijeka in the morning. That day plus the whole next day at leisure to go in search of photographic shots and interesting places to shoot. After the second night there, the following day, early departure for the return home.

To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.

Port and city center of Rijeka

When I arrived in the Croatian city, the first place I decided to see was the port area. From the photo in the previous video, you can immediately understand the important period for the city: European Capital of Culture 2020 (find out the article here) together with Galway, Ireland. For reasons known to all, then, the event was postponed to 2021.

In addition to the harbor area, I then moved towards the center to try and orient myself a bit.

Trsat Castle (Trsatska Gradina)

After the center, I went up to Trsat Castle (Trsatska Gradina) and, between steps, I thought I’d make a video. Video documenting the walk that any inhabitant/tourist/traveler makes from the center to reach Trsat and therefore the castle. So, the videos I made the following day took to light.

Extra (not to be missed!) of the journey to Rijeka

After this brief overview of the journey to Rijeka, aren’t you curious to go beyond simple images to better understand the travel experience? No problem, here is a preview of the places mentioned above.
