After 2 hours of traveling by train, I arrived in Rovaniemi. There, to welcome me there was the typical weather of the Lapland region: snow, wind and cold :)

Northern lights on the first try: it would have been too much to ask
It was January 10th and I had arrived here having already seen many cities and met many people. I remember it was evening and I was already hoping to see the Northern Lights but the weather was not the best and therefore nothing.
The following evening (I stopped in Rovaniemi for 2 nights) I didn’t even try because the weather was even worse. In reality, looking at the photos afterwards and in the dark, in those taken on the first evening, something can be glimpsed. Unless it’s a visual effect :D
Mobile phone or reflex: who accompanies me in the cold?
The next day, I decided to visit Santa Claus in his village. I reached the center of Rovaniemi and it was all white, as you could see in the previous video. The temperature was -9°C.
and, probably, I was also expecting lower temperatures. But my cell phone no: after a while it turned off and it didn’t want to know any more. The reflex, on the other hand, held up and so I was able to continue shooting and videos.
All roads in Rovaniemi lead to Santa Claus
The thing that surprised me most about the center was the nativity scene with the ice statues :D
As for decorations and trees it is what I expected. Santa Claus village is kilometers from the center so most people reach it by bus. I decided to try to walk there (find out the article here).
The next stop was always in Lapland Region: Kemi. City famous for several aspects but unknown to most (find out the article here).
