The eleventh stop on the journey of “15 Places in 5 days” was Rovigo.
To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.
How to reach Rovigo?
I reached this destination directly by train from the previous day stage, that is Ferrara.
The Two Towers of Rovigo
Leaving the station, I immediately headed to the most central area of this Venetian city.
The first photographic stop was the Piazza Giacomo Matteotti where you can immortalize the Two Towers of Rovigo (Torre Grimani or tower cut off and Torre Donà).

Rovigo Cathedral
I continued towards the Cathedral Co-Cathedral of Santo Stefano Papa e Martire even if, when I arrived there, I had the nice surprise that it was being renovated and it was difficult to grasp some views. Then I continued the walk towards the Pighin Tower.
Garibaldi square
Turning left, after crossing Corso del Popolo, I reached Porta San Bortolo and then headed first towards Piazza Umberto Merlin and then Piazza Garibaldi where I could see the Teatro Sociale.

Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II
At that point I headed to the center of the city: which one? The answer is simple: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
In this area of the city I had to dedicate a lot of time for shots and filming given the presence of numerous monuments to be immortalized: the Gran Guardia, the Column of San Marco, the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, the Accademia Dei Concordi and the Civic Tower.
A few more steps and two more buildings: Palazzo Roncale and Palazzo Roverella. At that point, I resumed the way back to the train station.
The journey continues…
On the same day I went to the discovery of two other destinations between Emilia-Romagna and Veneto: Ferrara and Monselice (find out the article here).
