The first stop on the trip to North Macedonia was its capital: Skopje.

How to reach Skopje?

On this trip I reached the capital of North Macedonia with a direct flight from Venice. Flight that I would then meet, again from here, to return home at the end of the experience.

A little well-deserved rest :)

Arrived in Skopje, I headed to the hostel and given the late hour, I decided to rest so as to be perky the next day. The next morning, I took a tour of the city center and surroundings to capture some meaningful shots and it was lucky. Why a fortune? The answer is simple: when I returned here, at the end of the trip, I found bad weather with rain. I remember that I was barely able to do small takes before the flood.

The walk to the center included reaching Macedonia Square. Along the way I could see around me the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle, the Archaeological Museum of the Republic of Macedonia and the very famous Skopje Stone Bridge to cross the Vardar River.

Continuing along that direction I came to the Memorial House of Mother Teresa (of Calcutta) and then, with a circular itinerary, I crossed, first the Museum of the City of Skopje, then the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.

See you again at the end of the journey

Skopje was the first stop on the trip to North Macedonia, but it will also be the last stop on the itinerary before taking the flight home.
