Incredible experiences

The first experience I had in this country was reaching and visiting the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela. Other incredible opportunities were the tea plantations, the ancient capital Galle as well as present-day Colombo with its countless temples. Right in Colombo, I also managed to see the airport since I landed there when I was on board Costa neoRiviera :)

How did I get to Sri Lanka?

I had this incredible opportunity while on board Costa Victoria while returning from the Asia season based in Singapore. The itinerary also included stops in Cambodia and Thailand as well as the aforementioned Malaysia and Singapore. Subsequently also with Costa neoRiviera during the season between India, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Furthermore, I also returned with Costa Venezia during the inaugural cruise from Trieste to Tokyo.

Will I ever go to this place?

I have always liked geography and, therefore, I had already heard about this place and where it is located. But it’s one of those places that you think, “Will I ever go to this place?” And the answer is “Yes” :)
