In this article I’ll tell you about the stop in Swansea during the journey to discover England, Wales and Andorra.
To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.
How to get to Swansea?
After the “Inter-Barcelona: first home victory in the Champions League” match (find out the article here), I headed home for a few hours and, the following day, I took the flight from Venice Marco Polo airport towards United Kingdom. It can also be reached by train or bus (even from other English cities!) but I preferred this way to get to Bristol (find out the article here).
To reach the next destination, I decided to use the bus.
First time in Wales
As soon as I arrived at the bus station, the first thing that popped into my head was that it was my first time in Wales. I have never been to this part of the UK before 😛
First steps in the city
Walking towards the city center and its pedestrian area, the first monuments I came across were the St. Mary Church
where nearby there is also the statue of Sir Henry Hussey Vivian and, shortly thereafter, Swansea Castle.
Swansea Maritime Quarter and Marina
At that point I decided to head towards one of the most well-known places in this Welsh city: the maritime district.
Here I had the opportunity to capture some shots of both the beach and the boats parked in its marina.
Swansea Cathedral
Since the weather was holding up, I decided to move to a completely different part of the city to reach Swansea Cathedral (Cathedral Church of Saint Joseph – Eglwys Gadeirlan Siôseff Sant).
Final destination of the trip: Barcelona
The final destination of this trip is Barcelona, more precisely the Camp Nou, to attend the (already decisive?) match of the Champions League group 🙂
The journey continues…
The next stop on the trip was Cardiff (find out the article here).

Extras (not to be missed!) in addition to Swansea
After this brief overview of the stop in Swansea, aren’t you curious to go beyond simple images to better understand the travel experience lived before this stage? No problem, here is a preview of the places mentioned above.
