During the fifth and final stop (again in Skopje) (find out the article here) of the trip to North Macedonia, I decided to move west of the State capital and go see Tetovo.

To start getting an idea of the places and views that I was able to admire, I invite you to watch the video below containing the most significant images of this experience.

How to reach Tetovo?

During this trip to North Macedonia I reached my destination by direct bus from Skopje. If possible, I advise you to buy the return ticket already on the outward journey otherwise you risk not being able to take the bus because the credit card payment method is not accepted :D

Face to face with the locals

I got off the bus and headed towards the city center. The first thing I remember seeing was the city market (or something similar. They mostly sold things to eat and I remember it was quite crowded (maybe it was Saturday, if I’m not mistaken!). Going on I also caught this shot of the Pena river.

Crossing the street, I was able to capture another glimpse of the river.

The point of greatest interest for a shot, however, was another: the Painted Mosque (Šarena Džamija) located in the oldest part of the city.

Having arrived in a moment of prayer, I captured some glimpses and then continued the walk around city.

The journey continues…

The following day, again from Skopje, I went to the discovery of Kumanovo (find out the article here), a city located north-east of the capital of North Macedonia.
