Being a city-state within Italian territory, I happened to visit it several times.
Just as many tourists take the opportunity of being in Rome to also visit the papal city and its monuments. In fact, both by public transport and comfortably on foot, it is possible to reach both historical and non-historical points of interest in both locations.

How did I get to Vatican City?

In addition to the short passages during my travels, I had this incredible opportunity while I was on board Costa Cruises during excursions which also included visits to Rome according to different topics of interest. I reached this place from the port of Civitavecchia.

Will I ever go to this place?

I have always liked geography and, therefore, I had already heard about this place and where it is located. But it’s one of those places that you think, “Will I ever go to this place?” And the answer is “Yes” :)
